Skinny-dipping enthusiast Matthew Fox says that his affinity for swimming in his altogether is mostly about shock value.

“When I was a kid there wasn’t a huge delineation in our family between having clothes on or not having clothes on. And the reason I have so much fun doing it now is people are so shocked by it, and, like, ‘Oh, my God, Fox just took his clothes off!’” the 40-year-old Lost star tells Men’s Journal (via The Scoop).

“But, I mean, just how long ago was it that we were all wandering around in loincloths? I don’t know, dude, but I grew up, all the way until I was 22 years old … in locker rooms showering with f—king 40 other dudes and you’re not checking each other’s [bleep] sizes out, you’re just walking around like it’s no big deal. And no, I don’t take my clothes off all the time because I think I have a huge unit and want to show it off. I do it because it’s frickin’ funny!”

Emilie de Ravin And Husband SplitEmilie de Ravin, who plays Claire Littleton on ABC’s Lost, has separated from her husband after only six months of marriage, her publicist, Jeff Raymond, tells the Associated Press.

The Australian actress and actor Josh Janowicz, both 25, were married in Melbourne in June of last year.

The wedding was intentionally small, de Ravin told PEOPLE at the time. “I’d never have a large wedding,” she said. “That’s not the kind of person either of us is. We’re both quite low-key people.”

It was a first marriage for both. They have no children.

Despite the brevity of the marriage, “We’ve been together nearly four years,” de Ravin told PEOPLE in March 2006. The couple originally met “through friends,” de Ravin added, “which is the best way to meet someone, isn’t it?”

An Australian native, de Ravin lived in Los Angeles with Janowicz and commuted to her TV show’s set in Oahu, Hawaii.

Lost‘ lovers Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan sift through the charred wreckage of Lilly’s Kailua home that caught fire the night before. The couple looked like ghouls with their hooded sweatshirts as they pulled out badly burned heirlooms and pictures from the fire- gutted home. Monaghan wore his usual scowl but at least Evangeline was able to force a smile as she found one of her bras intact!

LATEST: Lost star Evangeline Lilly and boyfriend Dominic Monaghan returned to her rented home last night (20DEC06) to sift through the remains of her home which burned to the ground yesterday. The rented home in Kailua, Hawaii, which Lilly shared with two female crew members, was engulfed in flames in the early morning, which destroyed the entire building in 30 minutes.

Lilly was shooting the hit show at the time of the fire and no one was injured in the blaze. The couple didn’t arrive at the scene until just after sunset and came armed with flashlights and gloves. The pair sifted through the rubble and managed to salvage a few personal items. Although it had been an emotional day for the star, who plays Kate Austen on the show, she managed to smile for photographers who were at the scene. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.

An insider tells Life & Style that friends, family and colleagues are rallying to Evangeline’s side to replace the star’s and her roommates’ clothes, furniture and electronics, since they lost everything in the blaze.

“Evangeline is most upset about the personal stuff — photos, paintings, things you can’t replace,” says the insider. “She has no idea how the fire started, but she’s looking at the bright side of this awful event. She’s happy that no one was hurt and knows the things she lost are just material objects. We all feel awful for her that this happened during the holidays, but luckily her boyfriend Dominic Monaghan said she can stay with him as long as she needs to. Evangeline is more shocked then anything.”

Her co-star and boyfriend, Dominic Monaghan, visibly upset, came to the house to see the damage. He chose not to comment on camera.

Evangeline’s Publicist Confirms FireThe home rented by Lost actress Evangeline Lilly in Kailua, Hawaii, has been lost in a fire that completely destroyed the residence, Lilly’s rep confirms to People.

“Yes, it is unfortunately true that her home in Hawaii burned down this morning,” said the rep, Cara Tripicchio. “Thankfully, Evangeline is safe as she was on set already when it occurred.”

Tripicchio added: “There is no official statement, and I have no further comment or information to provide at this time.”

The house, which Lilly reportedly shares with two women who work on the Lost crew, was empty at the time of the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Honolulu Fire Capt. Kenison Tejada said that his department received the alarm at 6:43 a.m. Wednesday, and that crews reached the scene six minutes later.

“When we arrived the house was fully engulfed,” Tejada said. “It was a complete loss. Just the roof was still standing.”

He confirmed that none of the house’s three female residents were home at the time of the fire. Two were at work and the third was off island, he said.

Lilly, 27, who plays Kate on the series, earlier this year has been romantically linked to costar Dominic Monaghan.

Fire investigators arrived on the scene of the early morning blaze later on Wednesday. The cause has yet to be determined.

“I woke up to my dogs barking,” Morgan Janus, a neighbor who lives across the street, told the Honolulu Advertiser, newspaper. “There were loud popping sounds, like something electrical.”

Fire destroys Kailua home of Evangeline Lilly

The Kailua home that “Lost” actress Evangeline Lilly rents with two other women was engulfed in flames this morning and appears to be total loss.

Five fire trucks responded to the call around 6:45 a.m. Neighbors said the fire started at least by 6:30 and quickly spread. There was nobody home at the time. “Lost” was filming at a Waialua Beach this morning and one of Lilly’s roommates who works on the set returned home after the fire was out.

She declined comment.

The early-morning fire at 684 Iana St. in Kailua brought quick response from neighbors, many who said they heard “popping” noises as the fire raged.

“I woke up to my dogs barking,” said Morgan Janus, a neighbor who lives across the street. “There were loud popping sounds, like something electrical.”

Janus said by the time she got outside, firefighters had already been called and were on the scene within 20 minutes.

By 7 a.m. the fire was doused and soon after firefighters were able to enter the home. Part of the problem slowing the firefighters were the bars on the house’s windows. Firefighters had to cut through the bars in order to get inside to check if anyone was home.

Nobody was, said fire department captain Kenison Tejada.

Jorge Duarte, a neighbor who lives across the street, was the first on the scene. He said when he saw the flames he ran across the street and broke the glass at the front door hoping to help anyone who may have been trapped inside.

However, when he broke the glass “smoke poured out,” so he said he knew he couldn’t go inside. He grabbed a hose and started to hose down the home and surrounding area until the fire department arrived.

Another neighbor, Jill Turner — a former firefighter — said she was in bed when she heard the popping.

When she got to the home smoke was pouring out, so she covered her mouth with her sweatshirt and started spraying water on the back and surrounding areas.

She said she heard popping glass.

“It was bad pretty quickly,” she said.

Another neighbor who helped was Dian Grant.

“I was wrapping Christmas presents. I thought it was someone throwing packages through that window (by her house).”

Grant said when she saw the flames, she went outside and grabbed a hose to water down the house. She only left it to bang on the window of her own home where her 19-year-old grandson was staying.

The cast of “Lost” was scheduled to break for Christmas tomorrow.

This is so horrible, I feel so bad for Evangeline and her roommates. Imagine losing everything, everything! :( I guess you just have to look on the bright side, no-one was hurt. If it wasn’t for Evi’s crazy working hours, they might have all been asleep and things could have ended a lot worse.
