Aww! I wonder where their other son is. Elias, Lucas and Esau are all so cute. Henry Ian’s sons take after their dad though!

  9. on 28 Dec 2007 at 12:09 amLynn

I don’t get all the attraction for the dad. Granted, he’s a pretty good actor, but whoever thinks he’s sexy, hot, etc., must’ve seen something I haven’t. He doesn’t do a thing for me. I don’t get it. (And I am a straight female, btw)

Seems like a nice family though, and the boys are adorable.

  10. on 18 Feb 2008 at 11:45 pmerin

gahh! are you joking! hes fucking sexy!! what makes him so hott is that hes so normal(in a good way) hes not overly muscular, hes not clean-shaven. hes just soo hott, i cant even begin to explain lol. they look like such an adorable family.

  11. on 26 Feb 2008 at 10:53 pmAnnie

If an actor reaches your core and makes a connection with you by a performance this is a profound gift for both. It’s beyond explaining anyway so way make it trite by trying. I would like to thank Henry Ian because I get to be the recipient of his talent. FYI…don’t do much TV watching and haven’t seen the show Lost.

  12. on 04 Mar 2008 at 7:02 pmJody T.

Very well said Annie. I must admit, I do watch lost faithfully. The depth of this mans talent has touched me so deeply. I have literally been moved to tears, especially in his scenes with Sonia.

The emotions conveyed on screen simply cannot be put into words, you either feel it or you do not.

It would seem given Henry Ian Cusicks popularity that many do in fact “get it”. He has become my favorite charactor on the show, not to mention, one of my favorite actors. It’s not about being a sex symbol, it’s the ability to move someone in a profound way with a performance.

For me, it’s the way he presents the charactor. His talent is immense. Personally, there’s something about his eyes and his smile. He also just looks like such a nice man, a gentle soul. Perhaps he brings this quality to the screen.

I have also been fortunate enough to see other charactors he has played.

By The way, I think he is quite attractive as well! Thank you Ian for giving Desmond life. You have brought myself and countless others great joy in watching this wonderful charactors story unfold.

I look forward to seeing you on the big screen!

PS- What a lovely family! I’d be at the beach everyday if one were close enough!
    All The Best, Jody

  15. on 22 Mar 2008 at 12:10 amJoy

I first noticed Mr. Cusick on a TV movie called Perfect Romance. I was impressed with his performance because he took standard material and rose above it, taking what could have turned out cheesy and giving it a sincere tone. When he came on Lost, I immediately said, ‘Look who it is! The guy from that romantic movie!’ I am glad that he is part of a successful and interesting show, and I hope he is around for a very long time. God bless him and his family.

  16. on 23 Mar 2008 at 8:27 amann

omg. are u kidding me. “desmund” is way hot. i love him.
    i envy annie.

he is my freaking hero. love.

  17. on 24 Mar 2008 at 11:36 amjulierae

You haven’t seen anything til you see him as Christ in Gospel of John. It took my breath away. It’s a faithful reenactment of the gospel word for word yet it is masterfully done in movie form. Watch it you will be blessed.

  20. on 02 Jun 2008 at 2:59 amhelen

in reply to william wood – you must be related to Ian’s wife. I am his cousin from OZ. Haven’t seen him for 15 yrs now – cept for the rare television appearance. Course then he was just starting out with the acting. His dad and my mum are twins.

  21. on 03 Jun 2008 at 9:58 amMerryMac

Gee, Helen, your mum and Ian’s dad are twins. Ian’s father is also being a engineer/minister. How wonderful is that?

  22. on 06 Jun 2008 at 8:59 ammaggiema

don’t get this from merrymac. weird comment. anyway I think henry ian is a good actor in lost but was pretty average in that film called halflight/ or halflife – something like that. has Lost finished production now?

  23. on 11 Jun 2008 at 9:38 ammary

eli, did your family eat at chili’s last Wednesday (4 Jun)? I almost ran into your dad as I was coming around the corner from the restroom. He’s very polite.

  24. on 12 Jun 2008 at 8:47 pmEliaW

I think HIC is a good actor, indeed, he’s very good, but I don’t think much of his spiritual dealings. I’m a cradle Catholic, and he was raised a Catholic; I think it sad that he should neglet his soul the way he has.

No offence to Annie or the boys.

  25. on 19 Jun 2008 at 9:50 pmCarol

“I think it sad that he should neglet his soul the way he has.”

What?! Cuz he had children out of wedlock? Cuz he’s on Lost? Either way, your comment is beyond ignorant.

  26. on 21 Jun 2008 at 9:52 pmEliaW

No. Having children out of wedlock may be the ‘cool’ way to go, but it’s just sending yourself to hell in a basket. I may only be 13 years old, but I know that ‘doing it’ outside of marriage is wrong. Cohabitation and willfully creating illigitemate children is a sin. I don’t know what religion you are, but you have the wrong idea about this sort of thing.

I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t accuse me of ignorance on a subject I feel strongly about and know about.

And it’s not wrong that he’s on Lost. He’s one of the stars and I think the show wouldn’t be half as interesting without him.

  27. on 21 Jun 2008 at 10:16 pmeli

geez, this is weird you guys think you know alot, but actually you dont know anything, you make false judgemants and accusiations, and think your his best friend when we dont even know you, you guys are either stalkers or crazy, (except uncle woody)

  28. on 21 Jun 2008 at 10:18 pmeli

btw ellen is a crazy girl =-)

  36. on 26 Jun 2008 at 6:00 pmwendy

lucas, I’m sorry you don’t like that your dad is on Lost. He’s a terrific actor and many people really enjoy his work. (But of course his fans don’t really KNOW him. We just admire what he does.) I think you’re lucky to have two parents so involved in the arts. Keep on singing–I’ll bet you’re very talented!

  37. on 01 Jul 2008 at 8:17 amcella

i seriously doubt those are his sons posting.

  38. on 11 Jul 2008 at 5:36 pmeli

    actually it is lol

  39. on 23 Jul 2008 at 9:28 pmKaren - from the HIC Group

Whoa, what a fluke that I came upon this! Hi Eli and Lucas and various Clan Cusick and Wood people, hope you’re well! It’s been almost two weeks since that last post, Eli, but maybe y’all will still come back, right? :)

As my name i.d. says, I’m Karen from over at your Dad’s HIC group…yeah, we’re crazy…but very VERY cool – LOL! I just wanted to send love and hellos to you and Your Mom and Dad and Esau.

I can’t imagine what it’s like, and I can well understand how you feel, Lucas. No way I can fathom how bizarre it must be for you and your family. We watch and we admire amazingly talented people like your Dad, and we get enthusiastic…and we don’t always get the benefit of your wisdom that HEEEEY, he’s your DAD, a cornerstone of YOUR life, right? So thank you so much for that really-needed voice of reason!

I’ll just say that I miss your Dad being around on LOST and any other projects, and I’m looking forward to seeing him again – fair enough? :) And much love to your Mom, too – I think she’s a sweetheart and I’m so not the only one.

The picture is so obviously a terrific moment – thanks for sharing it!

  43. on 18 Aug 2008 at 10:22 pmKaren

LOL – I believe you! :D Congratulations, Lucas, thats phenomenal! The musical or non-musical version?

  44. on 18 Aug 2008 at 10:25 pmWendy

That’s great! There are some wonderful songs in that show. (But I hope you won’t have to eat any real gruel in the orphanage scenes!) Good luck!!

  45. on 18 Aug 2008 at 11:17 pmKaren

Ah, of COURSE it’s the musical – thanks Wendy – sorry, when I asked when it was the musical or not I was thinking of the films, there’s one musical and one that’s not, oops!

So when do you start, Lucas? Omigosh, there is NOTHING like starting a new show, yeah? :D

  46. on 19 Aug 2008 at 5:21 pmMerryMac

Lucas, congratulations on getting the part of Oliver. You are certainly following in your dad’s footsteps. I hope that someday, you will be as successful as he is.

  48. on 15 Oct 2008 at 8:22 pmbrooke

I am a big fan of lost and Desmond is definitaly my favorite charachter. Henry is a great actor and I love the way he works with his role. Keep up the good work!

  49. on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:52 pmRainySaturday

This is all very weird. I don’t know why anyone would want to be a celebrity. Honestly all these women/girls posting these sappy comments must be deranged. Go out and get a hobby. Or, better yet, do something good for mankind. It’ll make you feel better. (BTW, you sound like pedophiles the way you gush over these supposed little boys.) (Shudder!)

Oh, Henry! I just love you! No one GETS me the way you do; you just GET me! I know you can see me through my TV. Oh, lover…

Excuse me, I just threw up a little in my mouth…

  50. on 26 Dec 2008 at 8:06 pmdonna

RainySaturday…..hahaha, you’re a drip. No go stick your head in the toilet: that spin cycle is more your speed.

Henry Ian as Jesus in The Gospel of John is awesome! I saw it for the first time this Christmas. What a fresh, new interpretation of Christ! Wow.

My only distraction while viewing the movie was thinking how much Mr.Cusick reminded me of Dustin Hoffman.

Take care Cusick family and be happy!

  51. on 04 Jan 2009 at 5:20 amDavid from Ireland

Hey I love Henry Ian Cusick in Lost, But his best performance has to be the Gospel of John (2003)

Have any of you guys from his family watched that?

He is the only portrayal of Jesus that I have seen that is actually convincing.

    Blessings

    David

i think henry ian cusick is ridiculously sexy….

  58. on 02 Mar 2009 at 8:46 pmMarie

I agree – his performance as Christ in The Gospel of John was phenomenal.

Our family just watched it together last week (I know…better late than never!) and I reviewed it on my blog:http://theo-geek.blogspot.com/

I’m sure Mr. Cusick couldn’t care less what I think, but I thought his interpretation of the character of Jesus was terrific.

  59. on 02 Mar 2009 at 8:47 pmMarie

I meant to say that I agree with David from Ireland. :)

  60. on 08 Mar 2009 at 5:46 pmgrace

What is everyone talking about religion and his family for? He is an ACTOR. What an actor does in his personal life does NOT have any affect on us as fans whatsoever.

Fine if you want to say he has a nice family, he’s talented, he’s whatever. But talking about his religion and the choices he made when creating his beautiful family is none of our business.

I’m in the entertainment industry. I’m a Catholic. I’m unmarried. And I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I haven’t committed sin because that would be a sin in itself. Nobody is perfect.

If you believe that having children out of wedlock is a sin, then fine, that is your belief. He will face judgment, but not by us. Last time I checked, I wasn’t the gatekeeper of Heaven. And last time I checked, neither were any of you.

Stick to talking about him on an entertainment level.

(And and I guess I should say this, he’s my favorite actor, and I have a pet fish named Desmond. He’s a cute fish, he’s quiet, but I think that means hes plotting something huge.)

Show a little more love people. And stop creeping out his family.

  61. on 28 May 2009 at 4:14 pmJody T

Well this has been an interesting read. I’m sure it’s rough for the entire family, celebrity and all. Intrusion of privacy.

I think Lost is the best show with fantastic actors of amazing caliber. Desmond has certainly been missed this passed season. He has one of the best storylines, IMO. His absence left a void in the show/story.

Best wishes Mr. Cusick and his family.

How did you do in Oliver Twist?

  62. on 16 Jul 2009 at 1:22 amDeborah

Man is he hot i cant believe is 40 years old.
