I don’t get all the attraction for the dad. Granted, he’s a pretty good actor, but whoever thinks he’s sexy, hot, etc., must’ve seen something I haven’t. He doesn’t do a thing for me. I don’t get it. (And I am a straight female, btw)
Seems like a nice family though, and the boys are adorable.
gahh! are you joking! hes fucking sexy!! what makes him so hott is that hes so normal(in a good way) hes not overly muscular, hes not clean-shaven. hes just soo hott, i cant even begin to explain lol. they look like such an adorable family.
If an actor reaches your core and makes a connection with you by a performance this is a profound gift for both. It’s beyond explaining anyway so way make it trite by trying. I would like to thank Henry Ian because I get to be the recipient of his talent. FYI…don’t do much TV watching and haven’t seen the show Lost.
Very well said Annie. I must admit, I do watch lost faithfully. The depth of this mans talent has touched me so deeply. I have literally been moved to tears, especially in his scenes with Sonia.
The emotions conveyed on screen simply cannot be put into words, you either feel it or you do not.
It would seem given Henry Ian Cusicks popularity that many do in fact “get it”. He has become my favorite charactor on the show, not to mention, one of my favorite actors. It’s not about being a sex symbol, it’s the ability to move someone in a profound way with a performance.
For me, it’s the way he presents the charactor. His talent is immense. Personally, there’s something about his eyes and his smile. He also just looks like such a nice man, a gentle soul. Perhaps he brings this quality to the screen.
I have also been fortunate enough to see other charactors he has played.
By The way, I think he is quite attractive as well! Thank you Ian for giving Desmond life.You have brought myself and countless others great joy in watching this wonderful charactors story unfold.
I look forward to seeing you on the big screen!
PS- What a lovely family! I’d be at the beach everyday if one were close enough!

I first noticed Mr. Cusick on a TV movie called Perfect Romance. I was impressed with his performance because he took standard material and rose above it, taking what could have turned out cheesy and giving it a sincere tone. When he came on Lost, I immediately said, ‘Look who it is! The guy from that romantic movie!’ I am glad that he is part of a successful and interesting show, and I hope he is around for a very long time. God bless him and his family.

You haven’t seen anything til you see him as Christ in Gospel of John. It took my breath away. It’s a faithful reenactment of the gospel word for word yet it is masterfully done in movie form. Watch it you will be blessed.

in reply to william wood - you must be related to Ian’s wife. I am his cousin from OZ. Haven’t seen him for 15 yrs now - cept for the rare television appearance. Course then he was just starting out with the acting. His dad and my mum are twins.

I think HIC is a good actor, indeed, he’s very good, but I don’t think much of his spiritual dealings. I’m a cradle Catholic, and he was raised a Catholic; I think it sad that he should neglet his soul the way he has.

No. Having children out of wedlock may be the ‘cool’ way to go, but it’s just sending yourself to hell in a basket. I may only be 13 years old, but I know that ‘doing it’ outside of marriage is wrong. Cohabitation and willfully creating illigitemate children is a sin. I don’t know what religion you are, but you have the wrong idea about this sort of thing.

lucas, I’m sorry you don’t like that your dad is on Lost. He’s a terrific actor and many people really enjoy his work. (But of course his fans don’t really KNOW him. We just admire what he does.) I think you’re lucky to have two parents so involved in the arts. Keep on singing–I’ll bet you’re very talented!

I can’t imagine what it’s like, and I can well understand how you feel, Lucas. No way I can fathom how bizarre it must be for you and your family. We watch and we admire amazingly talented people like your Dad, and we get enthusiastic…and we don’t always get the benefit of your wisdom that HEEEEY, he’s your DAD, a cornerstone of YOUR life, right? I am a big fan of lost and Desmond is definitaly my favorite charachter. Henry is a great actor and I love the way he works with his role. Keep up the good work!
