“We immigrated to the U.S. when I was 10, and my parents sold things from a trailer. We lived in it, too. These days stars ride and move in trailers. They rest, do their makeup and change their clothes in them. So when I got my first trailer, even though I was supposed to be happy, it reminded me of my past.”

Kim Yun-jin, the star of the smash U.S. hit TV show “Lost”, was in Korea in time for the release of her book, “The World is Your Drama”, and to work on the upcoming movie “Seven Days.” When the Chosun Ilbo met her for an interview at KOFIC Namyangju Studios in Gyeonggi Province, she kicked off the talk by asking, “What’s it like to see me in person?”

Do you have any complexes about your appearance?

“I seem to have found a few after I arrived in Korea. The standards of beauty are a little different. My nose should be a little smaller and sharper, but it’s round. Some people have suggested plastic surgery, but I’m already known as how I look and it’d be weird if I changed my appearance now. I may not be perfect but I have my own charms, too.”

Lost star Terry O’Quinn has clearly been affected by the lush vegetation of the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where the cult series is filmed. Attending a photo call at the Monte Carlo TV festival the actor, who plays the enigmatic John Locke, ignored seating laid out to accommodate the famous guests, heading instead for the more familiar ‘jungle’ ambiance offered by a nearby potted palm.

The actor - who’ll soon return to the real jungle to begin filming series four of Lost - was among a host of leading men spotted at the four day-event in the principality.

Yunjin Kim has published the moving story of her rise to Hollywood stardom. “The World is Your Drama,” published earlier this month by Hainaim, is looking like it will be a best-seller.

The book, which Kim wrote herself, tells of her struggles in Hollywood and her aspirations of becoming a world star. The first run of 7,000 copies sold out in one week, thanks in part to favorable reviews on Yes24 and other websites.

Following the book’s warm reception, the publisher is rushing to turn out a second printing, with an additional 5,000 copies headed for shelves soon.

One of Kim’s close confidants said, “The story of Kim fulfilling her heart’s dream, even though she started out totally ignorant about Hollywood, is making a big impression on readers. She wrote the book for eight months despite a very busy schedule, so it’s good to see it get positive results. All the profits from the book will go to help the needy.”

Last year LOST was famously snubbed at the Emmys in most of the major dramatic award categories. Some blamed it on LOST outing itself with more straight sci-fi elements, others noted the unevenness of the season, most, however, blamed a new voting system that seemed to favor newcomers over consistency. In the blogosphere, the debate raged that LOST’s descent into formula and the mishandling of major reveals validated its omission from the major characters, while stalwart fans were incredulous over the Emmy snub. With a redeeming third season behind it, many considering it the best season of LOST ever, the fan’s, as well as the creator’s, hopes are galvanized once again. We have some early word on what LOST producers may be submitting for Emmy consideration, and the selection looks diverse, and good.

For the big category, Outstanding Drama Series, producers submit the episode that defined their creation at its apex. This year LOST producers have selected the third season finale “Through the Looking Glass,” written by LOST show runners Damon lindelof and Carlton Cuse and directed by Executive Producer/LOST Veteran Jack Bender, as the prime example of their achievements this season.

Jorge Garcia appeared at the 2007 NCLR ALMA Awards, held a couple of days ago in Pasadena, CA. When Jorge appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show last month, he said he was going to spend the hiatus mostly chilling at home in Hawaii, but said that he would take a few weekend getaways. If I were him, living in Hawaii, I would stay put too!
